DEDHAM — The Dedham Conservation Commission approved a flood-storage waiver and order of conditions for a mixed-use project at 2 Bridge Street. Chair Erik DeAvila's panel voted 5-0 to close the hearing after wetland scientist Chris Ferrari said the Charles River-adjacent redevelopment achieves roughly a 1.85-to-1 flood storage replacement ratio, just under the town's two-to-one bylaw standard, while adding "just shy of 20 cubic yards" of net flood storage capacity. Attorney Kim Crowe said the Zoning Board of Appeals had already issued a special permit for the floodplain work.
The same meeting saw Elena Taurasi elected vice chair and David Hilgeman elected clerk, replacing outgoing Vice Chair Stephanie Radner, while DeAvila was reelected chair.
