The three-member board voted 3-0 at its June 10 meeting to refer proposed amendments to the town's well regulations to Town Counsel for review, with Chair Kay Peterson and member Stephen Kresko pressing for adoption before a pending 40B affordable housing project on Strawberry Hill Street moves forward. Health Agent Jason Maynard confirmed he drafted a key provision allowing the board to require hydrogeological studies from applicants, saying "it says it right here in our well reg." A separate pool regulation draft was held for further refinement over one contested line restricting aquifer-sourced pool fills. The board also confirmed a one-day tobacco license suspension at Dover Market effective June 10, with Maynard warning that any violation during the suspension could put the market's license at risk of revocation. Staff member Sophia was announced as transitioning to full-time employment with the board effective July 1.
