Dover Declares Level 2 Drought, Limits Outdoor Watering
DOVER — Dover has been declared in a Level 2 Significant Drought, triggering new limits on outdoor water use as the town heads deeper into summer.

The Town of Dover announced it is currently under a Level 2 Significant Drought declaration. Under the new restrictions, nonessential outdoor water use is limited to hand-held hoses or watering cans only, and only permitted after 5 p.m. and before 9 a.m.
The Department of Public Works also flagged upcoming paving projects set to begin this month, with details available through the town's News Flash updates. Separately, the July edition of the town's "OUR TOWN" newsletter is now available, featuring updates from departments, boards, and committees on initiatives planned for the month.
The Board of Selectmen also recently hosted Aquarion Water Company for a public information session addressing water quality challenges for Aquarion customers, including discolored water and the presence of PFAS. Two board meetings are on tap this week: the Warrant Committee and the Conservation Commission are both scheduled to meet Wednesday, July 8.
