Foxborough Planning Board approves three actions, defers Lawson Farms bond reduction

Planning Board · Meeting of January 8, 2026

Foxborough Planning Board defers Lawson Farms bond reduction and continues two public hearings at January 8 meeting. The board declined to act on a request by Bay Colony Group to reduce the Lawson Farms subdivision bond from $734,397 to $524,152, a cut of $210,245, after DPW Director Chris Gallagher said his department had not yet reviewed updated regional surge pricing received earlier that week and needed to inspect aging binder-course pavement across all three phases of the project. Residents of the subdivision submitted a letter to the board detailing safety concerns including a valve box left protruding above a sidewalk.

The board continued the 138 Washington Street public hearing — a proposed 32-unit contractor-bay complex by Patriot Park LLC featuring nine single-story buildings and 87 parking spaces — to January 22, pending an overdue stormwater review from consultant Weston and Sampson. The board voted unanimously to approve a minor site-plan modification for the Lampson Road PFAS treatment plant, eliminating roughly 4,500 square feet of pavement, and approved a parking lot expansion at 67 Green Street for Energy Electric Company, Inc., subject to Conservation Commission sign-off.
