Franklin Closes Prospect Street for Emergency Culvert Repair

FRANKLIN — Prospect Street closed to accommodate an emergency culvert repair, the Town of Franklin announced, while officials continue recruiting residents to fill open seats on the Community Preservation Committee and other town boards.

TOWN HALL The Town of Franklin closed Prospect Street to traffic for a culvert repair project, according to a notice posted on the town's website. No timeline for reopening the road was included in the town's announcement.

The town is also seeking volunteers to fill two Citizen-at-Large seats on the Community Preservation Committee, and separately says additional openings remain available across other town boards and committees for residents interested in serving. In utility news, the town said eligible Basic Service electricity customers will receive enrollment and opt-out information by mail as part of an update to the Community Choice Power Supply Program.

Monday, July 20, the Senior Center's regular slate of programs continues, including poker, line dancing, American mah jong, trivia and an Italian novel reading group.
