Franklin Mail Facility to Close, Cutting 112 Jobs by September 30

A Franklin mail-processing facility will shut its doors by the end of September, eliminating 112 jobs, according to a report from Hoodline, while the Town Council finalized a new contract for the town administrator and crews responded to a water main break on Partridge Street.

The Franklin Town Council has approved a new contract for the town administrator, according to a press release posted to the town's News Flash feed. The announcement did not include additional details on contract terms.

The town also issued a News Flash alert Wednesday afternoon reporting a water main break on Partridge Street. No additional details on repair timelines or affected addresses were included in the alert.
