Franklin Reopens Prospect Street After Culvert Repairs

DATELINE — FRANKLIN Prospect Street is open to traffic again after the town completed repairs that had closed the road since an emergency culvert failure earlier in the week, according to a Town of Franklin News Flash posted Tuesday morning.

TOWN HALL The Town of Franklin announced Tuesday that repairs to Prospect Street are complete and the road has reopened to traffic, closing out a closure that began July 19 when crews shut down the street for emergency culvert work. The town's alert gave no further detail on the scope of the repair work or its cost.

SCHOOLS The Tri-County School Committee Nomination Committee is scheduled to meet Wednesday, July 22, according to the town's public meetings calendar. No agenda details were listed.

COMING UP The Franklin Town Council meets Wednesday, July 22. The Economic Development Subcommittee and the Zoning Board of Appeals both meet Thursday, July 23. The Planning Board's Monday, July 27 meeting has been cancelled, per the town calendar.

At the Senior Center, the Council on Aging's Wednesday schedule includes a walking group, chair yoga, and cardio fusion classes (each $4), along with mah-jongg, bocce, and Scrabble.
