Lake Advisory Group Sets Aug. 5 Walk Before Lakeside Concert
The Lake Massapoag Advisory Committee will host a "Love Our Lake Walk" on Wednesday, Aug. 5, timed to lead directly into the free Lakeside Concert series at Veterans' Memorial Park Beach, according to the town's website.

The walk begins at 6 p.m., a half hour before the 6:30 p.m. concert start, giving residents a chance to learn about the lake before enjoying live music at the beach, per the town's announcement.
Separately, the town reminded residents that Tree Lane remains closed to both vehicles and pedestrians — not just cars — while Water Treatment Plant construction continues. The August edition of the town's newsletter, Sharon Matters, is also now available on the town website with fuller details on both items.

The library's summer programming continues to run alongside its "Summer 2026 Book Buff Bingo" promotion for tweens and teens and its Summer Reading initiative for younger children, both currently active through the library's youth services pages.
