Millis Soccer Club has opened registration for its fall travel season, the nonprofit announced on its website.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Millis Soccer Club, founded in 1982, is accepting registrations for players from 8 years old (U9) through under-16 (U16), according to the club's website. The club fields competitive travel teams for players who have aged out of recreational soccer but are not yet at the high school level.

The club belongs to the Boston Area Youth Soccer Association (BAYS), part of the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association, which the site describes as the governing body for soccer clubs in Massachusetts. BAYS teams play a 10-game schedule in the fall and spring, with all games on Saturdays; times vary by age bracket and host club.

Millis Soccer Club's home games and most practices are held at Oak Grove Farm, according to the site, which currently lists the venue's 7x7, 9x9 and 11x11 fields as "Open." Teams may travel as far as Bedford, Belmont and Milton, or as close as Medway, Medfield and Holliston, for away games, the club says.
