Planning Board · Meeting of October 8, 2026

STOUGHTON — The Stoughton Planning Board approved a 22,280-square-foot industrial building on Canton Street and continued a contested sign permit on Washington Street to October 22. Vice Chair Paul DeMusz presided in Chair Daniel Kelly's apparent absence. The board also released a $2,100 landscape bond for Zoppo Assoc., LLC at 1150 Turnpike Street.

On the Canton Street project, applicant representative Josh White of JDE Civil said conservation had approved the sewer connection "last week," and the board added conditions on street-frontage irrigation and tree species to be finalized with the town planner. On the Washington Street sign, member Rich Terry said "it should be a conforming size of 40 feet" against the applicant's requested 58.5 square feet, while member Peter Murphy said the town is "trying to clean up a lot of the signs around town." The applicant agreed to return with a revised design.
