Sharon Public Schools alerted staff and families to a phishing scam targeting the district, while the town confirmed the annual Summer Safety Fest will draw the Norfolk County Sheriff's Office and Sharon Police to Crescent Ridge this weekend.

The Sharon Public Schools this week issued an alert to staff and families warning of a phishing scam circulating and targeting the district community, according to a notice posted to the town website. The notice did not detail the specific nature of the scam attempts, but urged recipients to be cautious with suspicious emails referencing the district.
Separately, the town's website continues to note that outdoor water use remains restricted to handheld hoses only under the state's level 2 significant drought declaration covering Sharon and most of Massachusetts, a restriction previously reported that remains in effect.

Beyond the phishing alert to families and staff, the School Committee has a regular meeting scheduled for Wednesday evening, along with a School Committee Negotiations Subcommittee executive session meeting Thursday, according to the town's public calendar.

The Sharon Public Library continues its Summer 2026 Book Buff Bingo program for tweens and teens and its broader Summer Reading initiative for children, both running through the summer, per the library's website.
