Weather Postpones Beach Parking Lot Paving

SHARON — Rain pushed back planned paving work at the Veterans Memorial Park Beach parking lot on Monday, Aug. 17, while the town confirmed a new September start date for the long-planned Pond Street solar canopy project.

TOWN HALL Crews postponed paving of the west side of the Veterans Memorial Park Beach parking lot on Monday, Aug. 17, after rain moved into the area, according to a town alert. No new date has been announced for the work.

Separately, the town said construction on a solar canopy in the Pond Street parking lot will begin in early September, an update on a project the town's News Flash has been tracking for weeks.
