Wellesley's Morse's Pond closed out its staffed swim season for the year, even as the town's Recreation Department readies registration for fall programs.

WELLESLEY --

TOWN -- Morse's Pond ended lifeguarded operations for the season as of Sunday, Aug. 16, Town Executive Director Megan Jopp told the Select Board at its Aug. 17 meeting. The pond remains open to the public but is unstaffed, with no lifeguards on duty; Jopp reminded residents heading down over the weekend to keep that in mind.

The Wellesley Recreation Department's 2026 Fall Brochure opens for registration Monday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. for residents and Monday, Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. for non-residents, according to the department. Registration for the department's After School program opens separately on Sept. 8.
