Weymouth Licensing Board Approves Six Establishment Licenses at Marathon Session

WEYMOUTH — May 26, 2026 — Weymouth's Board of Licensing Commissioners approved six new establishment licenses and one conditional approval at a record-length May 26 session, while continuing three massage spa applications over paperwork gaps. The board granted massage establishment licenses to Apple Healing Spa Inc. doing business as Exhale Zen Spa at 1002 Main Street, The One Day Spa LLC at 273 Washington Street, Massage by Liz at 75 Fennell Drive, Premier Spa Management Inc. doing business as Hand and Stone at 35 Pleasant Street, and Oasis Day Spa Inc. at 108 Pleasant Street — the last of which also received a body works establishment license. Stretch In Motion LLC at 174 Middle Street won both a massage and a new mobility studio establishment license, while owner Alicia Kelly was told the business must immediately stop opening at 8 a.m. and comply with the town ordinance's 9 a.m. start requirement or risk losing the license. Ice and Dough Inc. at 409 Washington Street received a new wine and malt restaurant license with hours extended to 10 p.m. Applications for Apple One Spa at 1284 Washington Street and Unique One Spa at 850 Washington Street were continued to June 23 over workers' compensation discrepancies, and Four River Holistic Therapy at 414 Bridge Street was continued over unresolved background check concerns. Oasis Day Spa owner Julie Mahoney argued at length that reiki should not be classified as body work under the new ordinance, with Town Solicitor Rich McLeod directing her to pursue an ordinance amendment through the Town Council.
