The Select Board's adoption of the Climate Action and Resiliency Plan marks a significant policy milestone for the town. The plan lays out a decade-long roadmap to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 and builds on Brookline's recently earned Climate Leader Community designation from the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources. Full details are posted at the town's News Flash page (https://www.brooklinema.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?aid=2580).
Also active on the town calendar: the Select Board's previously approved one-hour extended hours for restaurants and bars on World Cup match days — a policy that took effect June 22 and applies to approved establishments on designated match days.
