Cohasset Select Board Names Four Town Manager Finalists, Sets Interview Timeline
COHASSET — April 14, 2026 — Cohasset Select Board names four Town Manager finalists and corrects a $110,000 budget error ahead of May 4 Town Meeting. Timothy Davis, Chair of the Town Manager Search Committee, told the board April 14 that the committee reviewed 28 applicants, interviewed seven in person, and is forwarding Michelle Leary, Renny Reed, Karen Preble, and Daniel Rivello to the Select Board for final interviews, with Chair Ellen Maher pressing to complete the process before month's end. Under topics not reasonably anticipated, Interim Town Manager Michelle Leary explained that the Water Commission had discovered indirect costs improperly included in its enterprise fund, reducing the budget from $6,069,911 to $5,959,488; the board unanimously rescinded its March 31 vote on Article 4 and re-approved the corrected figure. The board also heard that contractor RAD has accepted responsibility for paint peeling at the Bancroft Tennis Courts, will fully resurface the courts after this spring's tennis season, and is providing an additional five-year warranty — though the town's 25-year structural warranty will not begin until the courts are formally accepted.
