Dedham Youth Baseball opens registration for Summer Sandlot Series as basketball association announces scholarship winners.
DEDHAM -- Dedham Youth Baseball has opened registration for its new Summer Sandlot Series, an in-town option designed to bridge recreational play and travel baseball for players ages 6–9. The program runs every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. for eight weeks, beginning June 24 and running through August 12, primarily at the Rustcraft fields. Each registered player receives a T-shirt and hat. Spots are limited.
Also on the baseball calendar, the Dedham Birdball Baseball Camp — led by Boston College Head Coach Greg Sullivan — is scheduled for August 17–21 at Memorial Field, running 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily for boys and girls ages 7–12. Cost is $395, with a $50 discount for Dedham residents.
YOUTH LEAGUES
The Dedham Basketball Association announced its 2026 scholarship recipients: Abby LeGendre (University of Tennessee), Keira Murphy-Clinton (Northeastern University), Dante Gutierrez (University of South Carolina), and Grace Bender (Salve Regina University). Both town and travel basketball registration are currently closed. The DBA is also seeking volunteer board members, particularly parents of younger players, to assist with gym scheduling, fundraising, and program support; interested parties can contact dedhambasketballboard@gmail.com.
Dedham Youth Hockey noted a 2026 DYH Golf Tournament was held April 7, per the organization's website. No additional summer programming details were posted for the current period.
