Facilities Master Plan Steering Committee · Meeting of October 26, 2026

DEDHAM — The Facilities Master Plan Steering Committee resolved confusion over whether the School Committee must pick one building option before the draft master plan. Superintendent Nan Murphy said she was first hearing that the School Committee would need to narrow four educational models to one, telling the panel "that's not what I've communicated back through this process to my chair and vice chair." Co-Chair Anthony Rodriguez clarified the task was being removed; Arrow Street will instead recommend one option while keeping others available. Members also reviewed fire station, school and library siting options, discussed leasing Endicott Estate's event operations to a private operator under a KP Law legal opinion, and noted survey response rates below 1 percent.

The committee approved minutes from three prior meetings by roll call vote and tentatively set its next meeting for November 4 after learning November 9 conflicts with Dedham's fall special Town Meeting.
