Franklin Mails Enrollment Notices for New Community Power Program

FRANKLIN — Eligible Basic Service electricity customers in Franklin will begin receiving enrollment and opt-out information by mail under the town's Community Choice Power Supply Program, Town Hall announced July 15. The notices give residents a window to decide whether to remain on the new program or opt out.

The Community Choice Power Supply Program mailing is going out now to eligible customers, according to the update posted to the town's News Flash page. The notice explains customers' options under the program, including how to opt out and remain with their current Basic Service supplier if they choose not to participate.

Town Hall is also recruiting volunteers to fill two Citizen-at-Large seats on the Community Preservation Committee, and it has additional openings on other town boards and committees for interested residents.

COMING UP

The Design Review Meeting is set for Tuesday, July 21, followed by a Town Council meeting Wednesday, July 22, and a Zoning Board of Appeals meeting Thursday, July 23, per the town's public meeting calendar. Friday, July 17, brings a full slate of programs on the town's community calendar, including Hand and Foot, Diamond Art, T.O.P.S. and Simply Fit sessions.
