Franklin Seeks Volunteers for Community Preservation Committee

DATELINE — FRANKLIN The Town of Franklin is seeking two Citizen-at-Large volunteers to fill vacant seats on the Community Preservation Committee, the panel that recommends how the town spends money on open space, historic preservation, recreation and affordable housing. The call for volunteers comes as the town also continues early voting for the state primary at the Town Clerk's Office through Friday, August 28.

TOWN HALL The Community Preservation Committee decides how Franklin allocates funds raised through the Community Preservation Act, covering local open-space acquisition, historic preservation, community housing and outdoor recreation projects. The town is looking for two residents to serve in Citizen-at-Large seats, according to a notice posted on the town's website this week. Franklin is also advertising openings on other boards and committees, encouraging residents interested in town government to apply.
