Lotta Bradburn Schick Park Reopens After Renovation
The Brookline Parks and Open Space Division announced the reopening of Lotta Bradburn Schick Park to the public following a comprehensive renovation, while separate reporting flagged a new health care storefront coming to High Street and a court filing tied to a vandalism case at a Coolidge Corner deli.

The Parks and Open Space Division confirmed that Lotta Bradburn Schick Park officially reopened on July 10 after a comprehensive renovation, giving residents renewed access to the space this summer.
Town officials also reminded residents that real estate and personal property tax bills, mailed June 30, are due Monday, August 3. Separately, the town's July Town Administrator newsletter highlighted the reopening of all 18 holes at the municipal golf course, the new Public Health Plaza, extreme-heat safety guidance, and ongoing summer programming including the Rec Summer Concert Series, Yoga in the Park, and the Summer Eats Program. The DPW continues its bi-weekly Household Hazardous Waste and Universal Waste disposal program at the Newton Street Transfer Station, with the next sessions scheduled in August.

The Brookline Public Library's summer slate continues this week. On Wednesday, July 29, the library hosts an English Club ELL Conversation Group for language learners, a Bug Storytime in Hunneman Hall for young children, and a Drop-in Tech Time session in Meeting Room A for residents who want help with library apps.
Looking ahead, the library's "Plant a Seed, Read!" summer reading theme continues Thursday, July 30 with a seed-and-pot planting activity, and expands August 4 with a seed mosaics program with Hands on Nature for kids ages five and up. The Putterham branch will host Community Catch-up, a social hour featuring local guest speakers, on August 6.
