Millis Finance Committee Elects Krohn Chair, Shifts to Fiscal-Year Leadership Cycle

MILLIS — June 10, 2026 — Millis Finance Committee elects new leadership team as chair John Lohr steps down after three years. The committee voted unanimously to elect Michael Krohn, a former Westwood Finance Committee chair who has served on the Millis panel for roughly three and a half years, as its new chair, effective at the close of the June 10 meeting. Eric Marthenson was elected vice chair eight to one, and Joyce Piardi was elected clerk unanimously. The reorganization was the first conducted on a fiscal-year rather than calendar-year schedule. The Town Administrator, who stayed for the meeting, called this year's budget process "one of the closest" to a seamless town meeting process he has experienced, and said he hopes Lohr "comes back into some other form of town government at some point." The committee enters the new fiscal year with two open seats, and Krohn said he plans to work with the Town Administrator and Town Clerk to post the vacancies broadly and conduct a formal interview process before meetings resume in mid-September.
