Milton Recreation summer aquatics program is the week's leading sports story, with open swim, swim lessons, and the Rec Marlins team all underway.

MILTON -- The Milton Recreation Department's summer aquatics calendar is in full swing at the Lieder Family Pool, with several programs running through late July.

TOWN

Summer open swim is available Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:45–2:15 p.m. through July 29. Cost is $3 per person or $5 for a family of four or more. Swimmers should enter through door 16 at the back of the building by the north parking lot. Morning lap swim is offered Tuesday through Friday from 5–7 a.m.; evening lap swim runs Mondays and Thursdays from 5:45–6:45 p.m. Drop-in lap swim is $3, payable to the lifeguard on duty; monthly, six-month, and annual passes are also available.

Swim lessons continue through Session 1, which runs through June 18. Session 2 begins June 22 and runs through July 2, Monday–Thursday, with morning slots starting at 8:30 a.m. and afternoon slots starting at 2:30 p.m. Lessons cover levels 1–6 and are $35 per session. Registration is at milton.k12.wi.us/community/milton-recreation.cfm.

The MRec Summer Marlins swim team — open to swimmers who can dive from the blocks and complete one length each of front crawl and back crawl — is practicing Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Registration is $85 per swimmer; meet dates are to be determined.

YOUTH LEAGUES

Milton Youth Hockey has opened registration for the 2026–27 Co-Ed and Girls Travel seasons. Tryouts were previously scheduled for late March; the organization encourages interested families to visit miltonYouthhockey.net and sign up to receive program updates.

Milton Youth Lacrosse's Spring 2026 Travel season concluded its published schedule with the final regular-season game on June 7. Select playoff brackets and championship dates remain to be determined, per the MYL website.
