Milton Select Board Unanimously Approves PMA Consultants as School Project Manager

MILTON — June 17, 2026 — Milton Select Board unanimously hires PMA Consultants to manage MSBA school building project. The board voted 4-0 twice Wednesday afternoon — first to ratify the School Building Committee's selection of PMA Consultants as owner's project manager, then to approve the required OPM selection narrative for submission to the Massachusetts School Building Authority. Town Administrator Nick Milano told the board that 11 firms responded to the town's request for qualifications in late April; the field was narrowed to three finalists — Vertex, Left Field, and PMA — each of which completed roughly one-hour interviews before the SBC ranked and selected PMA. Select Board member and SBC representative Peter Oemersheimer called the final three "a really impressive list" and described the ultimate choice as "a close call between the final two." Milano also noted that the MSBA is actively monitoring the town's ongoing deliberations around the La Barre site and expects greater clarity on the town's preferred direction by late July or early August.
