Other Committee · Meeting of October 22, 2026

Needham's Revitalization Trust Fund said it needs new sponsors to keep its Banner and Flag Program running. Members approved the September 2026 minutes by voice vote and heard that the program, under contract since 2014, costs roughly $12,000 a year plus another $1,500 to $2,000 for flag replacement, totaling about $14,000 annually. The group needs another $3,000 by the end of November and new annual donors at a $1,000 minimum.

Committee member Jessica reported the mural honoring New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, a Needham High School graduate, remains stalled because submitted photos are "not good enough for the mural," while a 12-person "Hollywood edition" mural may launch first. The committee also reviewed updated Eaton Square Gallery renderings, calling the design "very classy," and said a new Amity Path bench for the Mahone family awaits Select Board approval after Parks and Forestry and DPW sign-off.
