Norfolk Zoning Board continues solar and 84-unit 40B hearings to July 15. The board pressed Next Grid Director of Development Daniel Serber on why the Pond Street solar site has sat ungraded and unfenced for seven months, with associate member Michael Brogan warning "I'm concerned with the town's liability at this point and the safety of the residents in town." The board voted 5-0 to continue that hearing, demanding a permanent fence first. On 373 Main Street, consultant Paul Cussin outlined an 84-unit comprehensive permit with 21 units, 25 percent, set aside as affordable, priced under $300,000 against market-rate homes near $775,000 to $850,000; residents pressed the team on 32 proposed private wells.

That hearing also continues to July 15, focused on traffic. Separately, the board voted 4-1 to reopen and then unanimously allowed withdrawal, without prejudice, of a special permit for 43 Mirror Lake Avenue after attorney Ted Cannon said the applicants had been misinformed about a zoning square-footage rule.
