Quincy, Milton Win $8 Million Grant For Joint 911 Center

Quincy and Milton have been awarded an $8 million state grant to pursue a joint 911 dispatch center, a move city officials say could reshape emergency response for both communities.

The City of Quincy announced Thursday that it and Milton have been awarded an $8 million state grant to pursue a joint 911 dispatch center, according to the city's News Flash feed. Quincy Public Library's summer slate continues this week. Saturday, July 11 brings two offerings: the "#bookwalk" Audiobook Walking Club, an offsite event running 10 to 11 a.m. that requires registration, and a Cross Stitching Group meeting from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library's Teen Take & Make "Duck in a Pond" craft kit remains available all month, running through July 31, and the Bicentennial Book Pickup continues through July 11.
