Sharon Kicks Off Summer Concert Series, Independence Day Celebration Set for July 3

With the Fourth of July weekend just days away, Sharon is rolling out a summer concert series opener, an Independence Day celebration, and a pair of holiday library-hours changes — giving residents a packed few days to look forward to.

TOWN HALL

The town's summer concert series kicks off Wednesday, July 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Veterans' Memorial Park Beach, with Devil's Rock headlining the opening night. The free outdoor show marks the start of the Sharon Recreation Department's annual warm-weather programming.

On Friday, July 3, the annual Sharon Independence Day Celebration returns to Veterans' Memorial Park, featuring fireworks, children's activities, food trucks, live music, and more. Town offices will be closed that day in observance of the holiday.

The July edition of *Sharon Matters*, the town's monthly newsletter, is now available on the town website for residents who want a fuller look at municipal news and updates.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Sharon Public Library will close early — at 2 p.m. — on Friday, July 3, and remain closed all day Saturday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Patrons planning visits should plan accordingly. Separately, the library is currently operating with limited parking while solar panel installation work continues on the roof.

Looking ahead on the library calendar, a program on processing Alzheimer's caregiving through poetry featuring author Wendy Drexler and Dr. Rashmi Kaura is scheduled for July 7.
