Town Council Approves FY27 Budget and Capital Plan

FRANKLIN — Franklin's Town Council has approved the Fiscal Year 2027 operating budget and capital investments, setting the town's spending priorities for the year ahead, according to the town's website.

The Town Council approved the FY27 operating budget, described by the town as establishing "the Town's financial blueprint and funding priorities for the upcoming fiscal year." The town is also seeking residents interested in filling openings on town boards and committees, and has asked residents who took part in Restaurant Week to complete a community survey about their experience.

Looking ahead, the town's public meeting schedule includes a Planning Board meeting, Town Council Monthly Office Hours, a Conservation Commission meeting, a Design Review meeting, and both a Council on Aging Board meeting and a Town Council meeting later in July.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Franklin's Council on Aging has several recurring senior programs listed on the town calendar for the coming days, including Hand and Foot, a political discussion group, Diamond Art, T.O.P.S., Simply Fit, and a children's program called Bubble Buddies.

COMING UP

The Planning Board meets Monday, July 13. Town Council Monthly Office Hours and a Conservation Commission meeting are both set for Thursday, July 16. A Design Review meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, followed by a Council on Aging Board meeting and a Town Council meeting on Wednesday, July 22.
