Water restrictions persist as new tri-town treatment plant starts up

Phase 2 water restrictions remain in effect across Holbrook, and the town announced this month that the new Randolph/Holbrook Joint Water Board tri-town water treatment plant has started operations.

Holbrook's Phase 2 Water Restrictions took effect July 17 and remain active, according to the town's official website. Town Hall also announced that the Randolph/Holbrook Joint Water Board began operating the new Tri-Town Water Treatment Plant as of July 1, a project intended to bolster the region's water supply and treatment capacity.

Separately, the town posted several job openings, including a Principal Clerk position in the Assessor's Office and part-time openings for a Council on Aging Activities Coordinator and an Alternate Principal Clerk. The town also relocated its yard waste dumpsters to what officials described as a more secure location at the bottom of the hill.

The Joint Water Board and the Select Board are both scheduled to meet Wednesday, July 29, at Town Hall.
