Wellesley High School opened fall athletic registration July 1 as summer sports programs shift into full swing across town.

WELLESLEY -- The Wellesley Public Schools Athletics Department announced that fall athletic registration opened Wednesday, July 1. Tryouts for high school sports are scheduled to begin Monday, August 24. The department noted that all students must have a current physical examination on file prior to participating, per MIAA guidelines, and directed families to upload physical forms to the SNAP Health Portal through their PowerSchool account.

TOWN

Warren Playground, which entered construction in late April, is expected to reach completion around late July, according to the Wellesley Recreation Department. The MOPO Miler road race is scheduled for July 19.

YOUTH LEAGUES

Wellesley United Soccer Club announced summer 2026 programs are available for players looking to stay active during the break. The club, which serves more than 1,800 players from Pre-K through Grade 12, offers clinics and a summer futsal program among its seasonal offerings. Registration details are available through the WUSC website.

Wellesley Youth Hockey Association announced that the online uniform store for the 2026-27 season has closed. Players needing new uniforms were directed to contact Joanne Hinchley. Rookie Mites and Learn to Play participants do not need to order new uniforms.
