Westwood Names Three Finalists in Police Chief Search

WESTWOOD — Westwood named three finalists this week in the search for its next police chief, while town officials also unveiled a smaller redesign of Fire Station 1 for public review and a water main break shut down part of Pine Lane to vehicle traffic.

TOWN HALL Westwood is entering the final stage of its search for a new police chief, with three finalists named this week, according to Westwood Minute. The finalists mark a milestone in the town's effort to identify a permanent successor for the department's top job.

Separately, the town this week unveiled a smaller design for a rebuilt Fire Station 1 and is inviting residents to weigh in on how the scaled-down option compares in cost with earlier proposals, Westwood Minute reported July 14.

A water main break on Pine Lane forced a road closure to vehicle traffic on July 16, according to Westwood Minute.
