Westwood Select Board Authorizes Parking Spaces, Stop Sign, and Election Warrant

WESTWOOD — March 30, 2026 — Westwood Select Board approves parking plan, neighborhood stop sign, and 2026 election warrant. At its March 30 meeting, the board voted unanimously to authorize striping of 10 on-street parking spaces on Washington Street near the Lords and Ladies Salon at 190 Washington Street, and to install a stop sign at the Alder Road and Briar Lane intersection for traffic entering from Briar Lane, following requests from neighborhood residents and a recommendation from the Westwood Police Department. The board also signed and posted the 2026 annual town election and annual town meeting warrant, setting the election for April 28 at Westwood High School from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., with early voting April 16 through 18 at the Gillette Meeting Room at the Westwood Police Station. Town Administrator Connor Reed reported that a resident survey on priorities for the police chief search had received more than 200 responses and will close at 11:59 p.m. on April 6, while Deputy Town Administrator Molly Fitzpatrick noted that a sprung structure for temporary fire station operations is set for delivery the following week.
