Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of November 5, 2026

WELLESLEY — The Zoning Board of Appeals approved six special permits and continued the 592 Washington Street hearing to Nov. 17. Approvals covered the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church sign, address signs at 40 and 36 Washington Street with lights off by 8 p.m., a blade sign at 51B Church Street, a three-year farmers market renewal at 309 Washington Street, and a rebuilt house at 53 Hunnewell Street. At 592 Washington Street, Vertex Companies engineer Nick Anderson told the board he "can't review" the application, citing missing sheet piling design and soil data.

Attorney-level objections from rear abutters and residents of 594 Washington Street added to calls for a complete file. Members said they are "driven by the documents."
