Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of October 22, 2026
Wellesley's Zoning Board of Appeals continued the First Citizens Bank site plan hearing for 26 Washington Street to Nov. 12. The applicant presented a two-story, roughly 15,000-square-foot building on the former hardware store site, saying it needs no variances because it sits at the parking minimum. Members said they lacked the traffic and construction management plans and asked for a narrative package covering hours, routes, police coordination and lighting.
Contractor DPR's Spencer Lamb estimated 40 to 50 vehicles at peak construction, with utility work affecting about seven on-street spaces for up to a week. The board voted 3-0 to continue the hearing to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 12.
