Bellingham Soccer Association is preparing for its Fall 2026 season, having held player tryouts in June and continuing to recruit referees ahead of a September board meeting.

BELLINGHAM -- Bellingham Soccer Association (BSA) held tryouts for its Fall 2026 season in June, with grades 3/4 trying out June 23, grades 5/6 June 24, and grades 7/8 June 25, according to the organization's website. The tryouts determine team and player placements for BSA's travel program, which fields competitive teams for boys and girls from third through eighth grade.

BSA also announced its next board meeting will be held Sept. 1, 2026, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the North Community Building, described on the group's site as the former Firestation No. 3 across from Stallbrook Elementary School. The first 30 minutes of the meeting are reserved for public attendees, per the announcement.

Separately, BSA continues to recruit referees for the upcoming season. According to the organization's website, prospective referees must be at least 14 years old, though younger candidates may take the grade 9 referee course early if they will turn 14 before the season begins. New referees must complete an online entry-level certification course through Mass Ref, and those already certified must recertify each calendar year.
