Select Board · Meeting of October 7, 2026

Wrentham's Select Board heard that town roads score 51.6 out of 100, well below the regional norm, with a $13.2 million repair backlog and a roughly $600,000 annual funding shortfall. Tighe & Bond project manager Joseph McGuire presented the pavement study, while Town Manager Michael King said Chapter 90 aid runs $400,000 to $600,000 a year against an estimated $1.75 million needed to hold the current score. "There's a delta that we're starting behind on an annual basis," King said.

The board separately voted 5-0 to approve a cautionary curve sign on Bennett Street after Police Chief Bill McGrath reported that a temporary speed-monitoring trailer recorded no vehicles exceeding 40 mph, with only one vehicle recorded at exactly 40 mph during a four-day monitoring period. Members also voted 5-0 to appoint Steve Savantek to the Elderly and Disabled Tax Aid Committee and accepted, "with regrets," the resignation of Community Preservation Committee Chairwoman Robin Cuddy, effective October 5.
