The transfer covers a recurring shortfall in the commission's agent services budget, a gap the committee expects to close permanently now that the higher cost is built into the fiscal year 2027 budget. The committee voted 5-0 to appoint Steve Mugowski, a corporate lawyer and former six-year committee member, to fill the seat vacated by Simone's resignation in December.
