Stoughton Finance Committee approves $70,000 in budget transfers to replace 26 ADA sidewalk ramps. The committee voted 10-1 with three abstentions on each of two appropriation transfers at its July 8 meeting: $40,000 from the Parks Department contract services account and $30,000 from the waste disposal solid waste account, both redirected to the DPW miscellaneous construction materials line. Member Heidi Tucker pushed back on suggestions the project could be deferred, saying, "This is something that we need to do to be in compliance."
