DPW Employees Charged in Alleged Assault on Unhoused Person

Two Holbrook Department of Public Works employees are facing charges in connection with an alleged assault on an unhoused person, according to the town's police chief, in the most significant news to hit the town in recent days.

TOWN HALL

The Randolph/Holbrook Joint Water Board announced the startup of the new Tri-Town Water Treatment Plant, a milestone project serving the two communities, according to the town's website. Details on the plant's operations and its impact on residents' water service were posted to the town homepage this month.

Separately, the town has relocated its yard waste dumpsters to what officials describe as a more secure location at the bottom of the hill, a change residents who use the drop-off site should note.

Several town boards have meetings on the calendar this week, including the Holbrook Housing Authority and the Finance Committee, both scheduled for Thursday, July 9.
