Franklin Schedules July 30 Treatment for DelCarte Ponds
Franklin will treat the DelCarte Ponds for nuisance aquatic vegetation on Thursday, July 30, the town announced, with water-use restrictions imposed earlier this summer still in effect.
TOWN HALL
The town's News Flash service confirmed the DelCarte Ponds will undergo aquatic vegetation treatment on July 30 to control nuisance growth. The announcement came alongside a reminder that townwide water-use restrictions remain active, part of measures the town put in place earlier this summer to manage demand on the public water system.
Separately, the town said eligible Basic Service electricity customers will soon receive enrollment and opt-out information by mail as part of an update to Franklin's Community Choice Power Supply Program.
COMING UP
Franklin's Conservation Commission meets Thursday, July 30, the same day as the DelCarte Ponds treatment. A Planning Board meeting scheduled for Monday, July 27, has been cancelled, according to the town's public meetings calendar.
The town's community events calendar lists a full slate of programs for Thursday, July 23, including a Tummy Time infant program, a discussion group, a wood carving group, Bible study, and Pre-K Pals.
