Holbrook Posts Air Quality Notice, Assessor's Office Job Opening

HOLBROOK — An air quality advisory tied to smoke drifting south from wildfires burning in Canada extended into Holbrook this week, even as Town Hall pressed ahead with routine business, posting a new job opening in the Assessor's Office.

TOWN HALL The town flagged deteriorating regional air quality Wednesday evening, posting a notice that smoke from the Canadian wildfires is affecting conditions across Massachusetts and pointing residents to additional resources and information on the town website.

Town Hall also advertised a new opening for a Principal Clerk in the Assessor's Office, posted Thursday. It follows a pair of part-time Council on Aging postings — an Activities Coordinator and an Alternate Principal Clerk — advertised earlier in the week, as the town continues to fill several municipal support positions.

COMING UP A cluster of board and committee meetings is set for the back half of next week. The Board of Library Trustees and the Conservation Commission are both scheduled to meet Monday, July 20. The following day, Tuesday, July 21, brings the Tri-Town Board of Water Commissioners, a BHR DSC Ad-Hoc Zoom meeting and a BHR Evaluation Subcommittee meeting.
