MILTON — March 26, 2026 — Milton's Warrant Committee cleared roughly 30 FY27 budget articles in a single evening session on March 26. Chair Jay Fondling led the body through voice votes on items spanning employee benefits, enterprise funds, capital borrowing, and Community Preservation Act allocations, with no articles defeated or tabled. Health insurance premiums are running 8 percent higher than the prior year under the town's self-insured program, and Town Administrator Milano warned of a second step-up in debt service expected in fiscal year 2028 as a $1.6 million ladder truck, two fire engines, the Lower Guile project, and the roughly $4 million Cunningham-Colleycott library and classroom renovation all come onto the books simultaneously.
