Paving to close Sharon Marketplace lot for five days starting Sunday
SHARON — The parking lot at Sharon Marketplace, 700 South Main St., will be milled and repaved from Sunday, July 19, through Thursday, July 23, weather permitting, the town announced, while the Police Department opens applications for its 18th annual Junior Police Academy and plans its Summer Safety Fest for Aug. 1.

The Sharon Marketplace parking lot will be closed for milling and paving work beginning Sunday and running through Thursday, weather permitting, according to a town announcement. No further detail on lot access or detour plans was provided.
The Sharon Police Department is accepting applications for its 18th annual Junior Police Academy, set for Aug. 3-8. Separately, the Norfolk County Sheriff's Office and Sharon Police will host the annual Summer Safety Fest on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Crescent Ridge.
