Planning Board · Meeting of September 9, 2026

Dedham's Planning Board continued hearings on two connected Bridge Street redevelopment proposals to September 23. Vice Chair Jessica Porter presided after Chair John Bethoney recused himself over a professional conflict, with Associate Member Eli Bossin filling out the panel. Attorney Peter Zacher outlined a 63-unit building on the former Mosley's site and a 45-unit building on an adjacent parking lot, including roughly 10 affordable units and a new public Riverwalk exceeding 14,000 square feet of landscaping.

Fiscal consultant Mark Fugier projected net annual town revenue gains of more than $77,000 and $66,000 for the two buildings. Resident Richard Irving pressed the applicant on dumpster flooding, asking, "Does that mean that it's like the wall is at the height of the dumpster?" The board also endorsed two unrelated lot-line plans and selected MAPC as consultant for a new $50,000 state-funded East Street Corridor Plan.
