MEDFIELD — The School Building Committee previewed six draft designs for a new or renovated Dale Street School at a virtual forum. Co-chairs Carolyn Casey and Bill Warner led the session with project manager Jeff D'Amica of Vertex and the project's architects, presenting three addition-renovation and three new-building options, all sized for 460 students. Warner said a survey of about 1,200 residents found 96 percent favored Dale Street.
The committee must narrow to one preferred design by April 2027 and seek town funding in February 2028, with a possible September 2031 opening. Resident Jerry Potts urged using high school and middle school space as swing space. No votes were taken, and a project team member said the committee is "not leaning any way yet."
