WELLESLEY --
HIGH SCHOOL -- Wellesley Public Schools Athletics, home of the Raiders, confirmed that fall athletic registration is open and that tryouts for high school fall sports begin Monday, August 24. Sport-specific schedules are now posted: football meets Monday through Saturday at the HS Stadium, gym and turf, with team pictures Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.; boys soccer runs weekdays noon to 3 p.m. at Sprague 2 and 4; girls soccer has an updated schedule split between Sprague 2 and the HS Stadium; field hockey (varsity/JV and freshmen) practices at the HS Turf and Sprague 3; girls volleyball meets Monday through Wednesday at the HS Gym; boys golf tees off at Nehoiden Golf Club; boys and girls cross country hold morning sessions at the HS track and stadium bleachers; and girls swimming and diving trains at the Boston Sports Institute. The athletics office noted that all students must have a current physical on file, uploaded through the SNAP Health Portal, before participating, and that late submissions may delay a student's start. Parents and fans can follow teams through a BigTeams fan account at wellesleyathletics.org.
YOUTH LEAGUES -- Wellesley Youth Hockey Association announced that its online uniform store has closed for the 2026-27 season. Players who need new uniforms are asked to contact Joanne Hinchley directly; players who already have a jersey, along with Rookie Mites and Learn to Play participants, do not need to order new uniforms.
