Finance Panel Reviews Fall Warrant, Sewer Deal
Finance Committee · Meeting of September 30, 2026
Millis Finance Committee previews a 12-article fall warrant topped by a $1.6 million sewer capacity buy. Town Administrator Mike Kuczynski detailed a $1,575,000 purchase of 150,000 gallons a day of sewer capacity from Franklin at $10.50 per gallon, which he said should meet the town's needs for "15 to 20 years." Other articles would rescind $2,134,180 in unused school borrowing authority and free up $1,352,565 in unspent Clyde F. Brown project funds for a future capital project.
Petitioner Paul Simpson of 52 Island Road pushed a separate article to permanently restrict Cassidy Field from development, citing aquifer and flooding concerns. The committee postponed its own votes on all 12 articles to October 14, ahead of the Select Board's October 19 warrant signing.
