Millis Finance Committee Adds Two New Members
Finance Committee · Meeting of September 23, 2026
Millis Finance Committee opens its fiscal year with two new members and a tight fall timeline. Chairman Mike McCrone welcomed new members Jackie Smith and Rob McCracken and laid out committee ground rules, warning members to "maintain an orderly and concise meeting." The committee unanimously approved a $203 payment to the Association of Town Finance Committees and approved July 8 minutes with two abstentions. McCrone said the fall warrant must be finalized roughly two weeks before the November 9 town meeting, pointing to an October 21 decision meeting, and moved the committee's regular start time to 6:30 p.m.
Liaison Joyce Boyardi reported the Council on Aging's teddy bear program has distributed 285 bears since August, with 72 more on order, through new partnerships with the Norfolk County Sheriff's Department and Hanscom Air Force Base.
