Medfield Youth Basketball Association (MYBA) says registration for its in-town program is "opening soon," according to the organization's website, which directs families interested in travel basketball to a separate page for details.
MYBA also highlighted several summer basketball camps for players heading into the fall. The Triple Threat Summer Clinics, led by past and current Medfield varsity boys basketball players, are set for Aug. 24-26 at the high school's outdoor courts, with full-day and half-day options for boys entering second through eighth grade. Coach Pete Sylvester is running nine weeks of camps this summer for boys and girls entering second through ninth grade, held weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Edward's Church, with a $400 weekly fee that includes ice cream on Wednesdays and pizza on Fridays. The Dexter Southfield Basketball Camp, run by Dexter varsity coaches Lex Mongo, Kianna Ray and Matt Droney, continues for six weeks this summer for boys and girls ages 4 to 13, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at a cost of $790 per week.
MYBA said it is also looking for volunteers to join its board of directors; interested residents can contact MYBA President Danny Blood.
